LunchPick collects only the information needed to provide and improve the recommendation service. This includes:

• Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and the name you choose to provide, so you can sign in and access your saved preferences, history, and favourites.
• Location: When you request a recommendation, the App asks for permission to access your current location so it can find restaurants that are nearby and within your selected walking distance.
• Preferences: We store the criteria you choose (food type, price range, and walkable distance) so we can tailor recommendations and remember them for future sessions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide restaurant recommendations based on your food, price, and distance criteria.
• Authenticate you and keep your preferences, history, and favourites in sync.
• Improve the App through anonymous analytics and crash reporting.

3. Location & Google Places

Your location is used only to find nearby restaurants and is not used to track you. When you request a recommendation, the App sends your approximate location and selected criteria to the Google Places API to retrieve nearby restaurant information (such as name, rating, price level, and distance). Your location is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

LunchPick uses trusted third-party services to operate, including:

• Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, remote configuration, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Google Places API to search for nearby restaurants.

These services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with the third-party service providers described above to operate the App, and we never share your personal information for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active so that your preferences, history, and favourites remain available. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. You may delete your account at any time from within the App, which removes the associated stored data. 7. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your account and the information associated with it at any time. You can also control or revoke location permissions through your device settings, and withdraw consent to data processing where applicable.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be available within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
